Rare Breeds Ranch is located on 110 acres which is nestled in the foothils of the Coastal Range, on the west side of the northern Sacramento Valley, just west of the historic town of Cottonwood, California. The ranch has spectacular views of the Cascade Range, including Mount Lassen and Mount Shasta, the Siskiyou Range, the Trinity Alps and the Coastal Range. The spring and fall are mild, but summer temperatures can reach 118 degrees. In the winter, we rarely get snow, because the ranch elevation is below 1,000', however, hard freezes are a regular occurrence.
